The 10 Indian Commandments

The Ten Indian Commandments
  1. Treat the earth well and with respect.
  2. Remain close to the great spirit.
  3. show great respect your fellow beings.
  4. Work together for the benefit of all mankind.
  5. Give assistance and kindness wherever needed.
  6. Do what you know right.
  7. look after the well being of mind and body.
  8. Dedicate a share of your efforts to the greater good.
  9. Be truthful and honest at all times.
  10. Take full responsibility of your actions.

Reflection:These commandments show how loyal the indians were. It also shows how kind they treated their own people, as well as other ethnicities. It also shows the love and affection the Indians had toward the earth. If I follow these 10 commandments showed me that if I follow these rules, the Earth will be a better place. An example of this is when someone is honest. This person is choosing the right. They are making great decisions and will succeed in life. Another example of this is when someone lies about their actions. This person is choosing the wrong. They are not taking responsibility for their actions and are not being true. People that lie do not go far in life. Eventually, karma will get you. Choose the right 24/7.

Student Success Statement

"A promise must never be broken."- Alexander Hamilton

A promise must never be broken because if it is, so is trust and character. What this means is that trust is lost due to your lack of credibility of sticking to your word. Character is never the same after losing your credibility and integrity. In other words, never claim something you’re not sure of. Also, don’t lie about your true intention when it comes to your course of actions or anything else. If you never lie, then you never have to worry about breaking a promise. You need to keep true to your promises in order to earn the trust of others, and to have better character. Trust is what makes character and what relationships are built upon, so if you can’t have trust then you can’t have many relationships. If you don’t have many relationships, then your life won’t be filled with as much joy. At the end of the day, it’s about how much joy we get out of life.

"Goodness is the only investment that never fails." - Henry David Thoreau

Goodness is the only investment that never fails because your risk isn’t great. What that means, is that since only good efforts are being put in, only good outcomes can happen. If a person decides to do good and go out of their way, it will only be beneficial. Some of the benefits that come with being benevolent are having good karma, creating a better atmosphere, and feeling good about your actions. Good karma will come with making an investment with goodness because others will only applaud these kind acts. Making an investment with goodness will create a better atmosphere because it never fails, and the benefits will encourage others to do the same, making social interactions more valuable. This will also make you feel good about your actions because when you do good, you feel good. You know you have done good when you see the investment of goodness you made pay off in your daily life. Choose to make these investments, because they can only benefit everyone. Don’t be afraid to do so, because these are the investments that never fail.

“It is our duty to concentrate all our influence to make popular that which is sound and good and unpopular that which is unsound”
(Not good)- Joseph Smith

This is a really good quote by Joseph Smith. It is our job to do what is right. We have to make what is popular CTR. For example now a days most popular things are bad like drugs and alcohol. We have to make those bad popular things unpopular. Then all the people are going to want to do what is popular and if popular is CTR then everyone will be choosing the right. If you don't want to drink and you are getting pressured into doing so because it’s popular do not  do it. Not everything that is popular is CTR. Do what is right rather than what is trending. Rather than the popular thing.

"I am not bound to win, but i am bound to be true. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with when he goes wrong."- Abraham Lincoln

This quote means that you should be around people who make good choices and and influence you to do better in life not people who do bad things like drink or smoke. be with someone who is on the right path so you guys both can succeed in life. If someone is having trouble to get on the right path then show them where the right path is don't just look at them watch them throw their life away. Steer them in the right direction as if someone were to lead you to the right pathAlso if you did something wrong turnaround and do the right thing. The more you do something good the more stuff you will do in life. Never go and do something bad and just leave it like that. I you do the bad stuff are going to come to you and your not going to like it and you will want to go to past when you can’t. Stand with the person that is doing bad and help them them and get them to the right path. CHARACTER
“Character is higher than intellect.”- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Having good character is what one needs to make something out of themselves and grow to be an even greater person. A person with good character is an ideal person that is always wanted. Being intellect is great itself too. When you have character intellect comes with but you can have intellect without having character. With character one will do much more than others will think of because people with intellect will easily understand what is dealing with but will not think of doing what the other would. Both are good, but having character is way better. Character is something you and other people which is amazing.

“True independence and freedom can only exist in doing what’s right.”- Brigham Young
i agree with this quote . i agree because it's true you aren't free if you do wrong . you even feel trapped in your lies or the things you did wrong . you are only free when you do things right . you are free when you don't feel like you did something wrong . you need to do good things in order to feel free and be free . if you say a lie for example you did cheat on a test but you said you didn't . you will feel trapped because you feel and you did do wrong . but if you don't cheat on a test a you get a good grade you feel great . why do you feel great because you didn't do nothing wrong .If you do what’s right you don’t get sent to jail. You get to have freedom for as long as you want by choosing the right. You can be independent by doing all the right things.

NO WAY!

“Many think that the short gain will be worth the long term pain, but it isn’t. In addition, using steroids is cheating, and there is nothing worse in sports than cheater. Don’t do it.”- George Mitchell

If you use steroids to enhance your performance you could get into a lot of trouble. You even run the risk of getting kicked out of the team, and to take back trophies you cheated for. Cheating is not an honest thing to do. It could have many consequences. You should always be honest even in the toughest situations in life.Always be honest and CTR 24/7. If you are a CTR person, you will find happiness in your heart. If you choose the wrong you will be a cheater. If you are a cheater you will not be successful.
