A promise must never be broken because if it is, so is trust
and character. What this means is that trust is lost due to your lack of
credibility of sticking to your word. Character is never the same after losing
your credibility and integrity. In other words, never claim something you’re
not sure of. Also, don’t lie about your true intention when it comes to your
course of actions or anything else. If you never lie, then you never have to
worry about breaking a promise. You need to keep true to your promises in order
to earn the trust of others, and to have better character. Trust is what makes
character and what relationships are built upon, so if you can’t have trust
then you can’t have many relationships. If you don’t have many relationships,
then your life won’t be filled with as much joy. At the end of the day, it’s
about how much joy we get out of life.
